I get the chance to bond with my high school classmates and batchmates this past December. Many are called but only few have come,(“,), and guess what’s not so surprising? Attandance was dominated by the singles! The beautiful singles to be exact! (nyan!) Nonetheless, there were new old faces who attended the said Christmas party like Rhianna, Jensen and Michelle. The party was pretty full of talks and laughters, and of course, telltales! And as usual the subjects are the “non-attendees”! !(hmmm…) hehehe! so, better not miss any class party slash reunion slash gathering, guys!
But there’s one thing I admire our batch slash class for. We have changed so much but we actually didn’t so much! Confusing? O well, let me say it this way. Sometimes, no matter how grown up people are, when they meet up with people whom they had their childhood or teen years, they tend to still act like as if those years were just like yesterday. Even how changed people are, or how prestigious their positions or the company they work for at the moment, you still can’t help to consider them the way they used to be. Or you can’t help to treat them the way you used to treat them. Though, you don’t picture yourselves as bunch of high school teens, unknowingly, you still act the same. You still think you can pull off some prank jokes or throw some off remarks, and you know they will not hold grudges (or maybe a little,(“,)) for that. It is in this moment that you become no one… no achievements, no titles…it is just what you were as a person that these teen-years-friends see. They see you as unchanged person. And I meant it in a good way. Because sometimes, our career lives are entwined with formalities and rules that it feels so constricting and stressful. So, it is a breather to be with people you can be informal with, goofy, wacky, clumsy (but in a responsible manner)… just become carefree for once … Just have fun! Laugh your heart out! And you can still say to your friend slash classmate slash now turned a General maybe, who throws a nasty joke, “Whatever, Freak! Are you enjoying?!”
And these are my classmates slash batchmates slash my friends!
hahaha. walang click Like dito? :)
ReplyDeleteSideline, General calls me Ambassador and we don't have those titles.
Maybe, I can say, future General calls me future Ambassador, but my dreams are drifting and vague and they can change in every second.
Whatever. Whatever you freak! hehehe.
I've learned to mentally curse but when I'm around people like you, it's just so normal. lalo kenni general, pang-GRO ngamin. hahaha. bastos gayamin. peace kadagijay Religion teachers. nyan.

hahaha! I like your sideline...so funny! (",)
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you. when we are with friends, there's other side of us that we are don't hesitate/fear to show 'coz we don't care what they'll think of us or we don't really dwell on what they think of us 'coz who are they, anyway? they are just a bunch of freakin' freaks! and those freaks are whom you feel "so belong" and are your friends who love you or you believe to think so(hehe!), in a way no other can. I freakin' love them!
